Values & Policies

Our community is guided by the core values below. In order for you to receive the most out of it we encourage you to follow along in these values

GIVE MORE, GET MORE

To unlock the maximum potential of MDS, our members must be highly engaged and highly generous with their knowledge. The result is an incredible community filled with a wealth of information, support, and experience to help each other reach new heights.

THE GROUP COMES FIRST

We are stronger when unified and when we leverage the power of the group, we all share in the rewards. We understand the value of our reputation and why it needs to be prioritized.

WHAT WOULD MOM SAY (WWMS)

We make sure that “Mom” would approve of how we conduct ourselves within the MDS community and our businesses. We are ethical, kind, respectful of others, and treat member contributions with confidentiality.

LIKE-MINDED + DRIVEN

Surrounding yourself with like-minded peers helps us connect on a deep level. We understand each other and help each other grow because we fight the same fight and enjoy life together in similar ways. Always working hard and playing hard.

SHOW UP

Be present. Be here. Nurture the relationships that can break open a facet of your business or life that was untapped. When you make efforts to be present in the virtual groups, the video calls, and face-to-face meetups, you maximize the full value of MDS.

PROVEN

There is a reason we are all here. We have already accomplished so much in our own right and we trust that those who have a seat at the table have earned their place.

Community Policy

General Guidelines

We highly value the quality of this community and do our very best to screen members and monitor community activity, but if you find that there is a member whose actions do not meet our core values, please help us identify them by reporting it to Leadership or the Advisory Council.
You can also anonymously report posts by clicking on the three dots “•••” in the top right of a post, then selecting “Report post to group admins”, and then choosing “Breaks Group Rule” sending this to admins. If we find a post or thread is in violation of the core values, it will be removed and the poster will be notified which value they were not following.
We will warn members of any violations that we deem as minor and keep track of these internally. Any member that gets 3 violations may have their membership reevaluated by Leadership and the Advisory Council without any additional warnings.
Any violations that we deem as major (such as breach of member confidentiality or unethical behavior), may result in immediate withdrawal from the group without warning. These decisions may be reversed through an appeal process by thoroughly explaining the violation to Leadership and the member elected Advisory Council.
These values and policies have been put in place to drive our community together to success and we appreciate everybody’s respect for the above and of their fellow members.

Affiliate Links Policy

We ask that you avoid posting your own affiliate links to providers or using unapproved “mds” specific codes. If you have a service/partner/offer that you would like to introduce to the membership community then you should work with our partnership team to present that offer. Posting offers prematurely often leads to misses on the discounts that MDS is able to negotiate. We are happy to work with you and the service that you are introducing to ensure that the offer is a fit for MDS and that you are credited for the relationship that you have brought. MDS does at times collect affiliate commissions and these are used to directly fund our chapter events. Reach out to partners@mds.co to start the process. There is no cost for a partner to be admitted to our partnership directory.

#MDSONLY

Anything that you learn in MDS should be taken in confidence, we have zero tolerance for intentional breach of this. It is completely against policy to take screenshots of conversions in MDS and share them outside of our community, especially when these screenshots are shared with service providers about critique of their services. All content from our events, and calls is also protected under #MDSONLY, keeping information within MDS is one of the most important things for members to feel that they can continue to share value within our group.

Conflicts of Interest

You may not be in MDS if you recruit members for personal gain outside of your ecommerce business. This applies to client recruitment for a service, software, agency, or putting more than 15 members into side group chats or communities that are business focused. MDS takes great pride and incurs massive cost in the curation of our members and any actions that divert members from providing value within MDS is not a group first mentality. If you are interested in promoting a service or putting together a group or event of MDS members for a business focused purpose please let a member of our team know and we can help make that happen.
